Italian FK-12 Comet

I'd like to thank Fausto Tongiorgi for providing information and the photo below of his FK-12 Comet - this is the only Comet I know about with an Italian ( I-....... ) registration.

The aircraft is c/n 66 has been built from a kit and took Fausto about 18 months to build. His Comet first flew in 2006 and is based at Pontedera near Pisa in the Tuscany region.

Fausto many thanks for your help - Grazie

Do you have "news" about your FK-12 Comet - please let me know and I will post it here in the FK-12 Blog - Thanks

FK-12 Comet Production

Welcome - This is a very simple Blog and will contain details of FK-12 Comet production. The FK-12 Comet is a very attractive ultralight sports biplane built by B&F at Speyer, Germany with component parts coming from Krosno, Poland.

The FK-12 Comet can be configured as either a two seater or a single seater with a choice of open air or enclosed canopies.

By the end of 2007 approx 80 examples had been built and examples can by found in many in many countries.

The information shown below has been gathered through my own research dealing with local civil aviation authorities, aviation publications and trawling the WWW for new info and contacts.

For each FK-12 Comet produced I am trying to tie up the construction number ( MSN or Werknummer ) with a specific aircraft registration - I have identified a number of FK-12 Comet registrations for which I do not yet have a confirmed construction number - if you can help resolve or correct any of the information shown here then please do get in touch.

Regards
